About Wildcat Resort Tadoba

Welcome to Wildcat Resort Tadoba

A Place Where Nature, Hospitality and Local Life Come Together

Wildcat Resort Tadoba is a nature-focused resort in Wasera, near Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra. We created the resort with a simple idea: to give guests a comfortable place to stay while allowing them to experience the natural landscape, food, farming and hospitality of the Tadoba region.

For us, a Tadoba holiday is about more than a jungle safari. It is about waking up to birdsong, enjoying freshly prepared food, walking through green surroundings, sitting quietly on the Machan, gathering around a campfire and spending time away from the pace of city life.

Wildcat Resort brings these experiences together in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Our Story

Wildcat Resort was developed with a close connection to the land and the rural surroundings of Tadoba.

The property was created by Shri Madhukar Wakade, who has a longstanding interest in agriculture and sustainable use of natural resources. What began as an effort to develop a nature-oriented place to stay gradually evolved into a resort where hospitality, farming and the local environment could exist together.

The resort started welcoming guests in 2021. Since then, our focus has remained on providing comfortable accommodation, good food, personal hospitality and an opportunity to experience Tadoba beyond the safari vehicle.

We believe that a resort in a wildlife destination should respect its surroundings rather than isolate guests from them.

More Than a Resort

Wildcat Resort is surrounded by farmland, trees, cultivated areas and the natural landscape of the Tadoba region.

Guests can spend their time in different ways. Some come primarily for the Tadoba jungle safari. Others enjoy the food, peaceful surroundings and time with family. Wildlife photographers and nature enthusiasts appreciate the opportunity to slow down and observe the landscape, birds and seasonal changes around the property.

There is no need to fill every moment with an activity.

Sometimes, sitting on the Machan with a cup of tea, taking a walk after dinner or listening to the sounds of the night is enough.

That is an important part of the Wildcat experience.

Our Connection with Farming

One of the most distinctive aspects of Wildcat Resort is its connection with agriculture.

The resort has cultivated land where a variety of fruits and vegetables are grown. The orchard and farm are not simply decorative parts of the property; they are an ongoing learning and experimentation space.

Shri Madhukar Wakade has experimented with different agricultural practices to improve cultivation and productivity, combining traditional understanding with a scientific approach.

The farm also provides fresh seasonal produce for the resort kitchen whenever available.

For visitors interested in agriculture, sustainable tourism or rural development, the property offers an opportunity to see how farming and hospitality can work together.

Students of agriculture and architecture can also find interesting examples of cultivation, land use and nature-oriented construction within the property.

Fresh Food with a Local Connection

Food is an important part of the Wildcat Resort experience. Our kitchen focuses on freshly prepared Indian meals and local flavours. Wherever practical, vegetables and other produce grown on the property are used in the kitchen.

Rather than depending heavily on processed or pre-made masalas, our recipes use freshly prepared spices and ingredients.

Guests can enjoy vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals, while Jain food can be arranged with prior information.

For guests leaving early for a Tadoba safari, packed breakfast can also be arranged.

We believe good food should be fresh, comforting and connected to the place you are visiting.

Our Approach to Sustainable Hospitality

Being close to a wildlife destination comes with a responsibility to be mindful of the environment.

Wildcat Resort follows several practical sustainability measures in its day-to-day operations, including:

Use of solar energy
Efforts to reduce unnecessary plastic
Recycling and waste management
Conversion of suitable kitchen waste into manure
Cultivation of fruits and vegetables on the property
Use of locally available resources wherever practical
Nature-oriented landscaping and open spaces

We do not see sustainability as a marketing label. It is an ongoing process of finding practical ways to reduce waste, use resources responsibly and maintain a closer connection with the natural environment.

Supporting Local People

A resort is part of the community in which it operates. Over the years, Wildcat Resort has provided employment and hospitality training opportunities to people from the surrounding area.

We also provide a platform for selected products associated with local communities and the Tadoba region, allowing visitors to learn more about the skills, traditions and products of the people who live around the reserve.

For us, responsible tourism should create value not only for visitors and the business but also for the local community.

Experience Tadoba Beyond the Safari

A jungle safari is often the main reason people visit Tadoba, but there is much more to experience. At Wildcat Resort, guests can enjoy:

Tadoba jungle safari planning assistance
Nature walks and birdwatching around the property
Time on the Machan
Campfire evenings
Outdoor and indoor games
Family activities
Fresh local and Indian cuisine
Farm and orchard experiences
Wildlife documentaries and nature-related activities
Peaceful open spaces for relaxation

The resort also provides a comfortable base for guests exploring different safari gates around Tadoba.

Our team can help guests understand safari options, gate locations and practical arrangements for their visit.

A Comfortable Stay in Nature

Wildcat Resort offers 10 rooms designed for guests who want to combine the Tadoba wildlife experience with a comfortable and peaceful stay.

The property has open spaces, landscaped areas, an orchard, recreational facilities and places where guests can sit and enjoy the surroundings.

Our approach to hospitality is personal rather than formal.

We want guests to feel comfortable asking for help, whether they need assistance with safari arrangements, meals, local travel or simply information about the surrounding area.

A Place for Families, Wildlife Lovers and Nature Enthusiasts

Wildcat Resort welcomes different types of travellers.

Families can enjoy the open spaces and activities, while couples can spend quiet time surrounded by nature. Wildlife enthusiasts and photographers can use the resort as a base for their Tadoba safaris, and visitors interested in agriculture and sustainable living can explore another side of the region.

The resort has ramp facilities that can be useful for senior citizens and guests with mobility requirements.

Our aim is to create an environment where different generations can enjoy Tadoba together.

Our Philosophy

We believe that hospitality is not only about providing a comfortable room.

It is about the experience created around the stay.

It is the meal prepared with fresh ingredients, the staff member who helps you before an early morning safari, the quiet walk after dinner, the conversation around the campfire, the child discovering a fruit tree, or the moment when you sit on the Machan and simply watch the landscape.

These small experiences are what make a stay memorable.

At Wildcat Resort, we try to bring together comfort, nature, food, farming and local hospitality in a way that feels genuine to the Tadoba region.
